We are thrilled to announce the official launch of Semantic Health’s coding platform which empowers medical coders and auditors to conduct concurrent reviews of clinical documentation, reduce revenue cycle inefficiencies, and enable actionable use of unstructured data.
When we first met Nicola in 2020, he spoke of the inefficiencies that plagued hospitals and clinics when it came to medical coding, auditing, and CDI processes. He embarked on a mission to enhance this use of clinical data. Semantic Health has drastically improved reporting and reimbursement and has allowed auditors to focus on higher-value opportunities. We are very excited about the opportunities to scale this AI-based technology across the healthcare market.
Semantic Health has partnered with several hospitals across North America to prove its platform and we are confident in the team’s ability to continue to advance its solutions to reduce healthcare’s financial inefficiencies. The September 2020 USD$2.7 million seed round was oversubscribed and led by DCVC with participation from Preface Ventures, Liquid, RiSC Capital, Wayfinder VC, Two Small Fish Ventures, and others.
Congratulations to the entire Semantic Health team on this launch!
