We’re proud to take part in BreatheEasyTO, an indoor air safety initiative to measure the air safety of downtown Toronto buildings.

Led by our portfolio company Poppy Health, this initiative measured the air in over 100 locations in the 50 busiest blocks in the downtown Toronto core at no charge.

Measuring air quality and ventilation is the first step in understanding how infection-resilient spaces are. This is critical as the temperatures cool and more people gather indoors increasing the chances of contracting respiratory illnesses like the flu and COVID-19.

Two Small Fish Ventures sponsored the testing of the following key spaces: OneEleven, DMZ at Toronto Metropolitan University, the Creative Destruction Lab at Rotman School of Management, the TIFF Bell Lightbox, and Little Canada.

In total over 8.75 million cubic feet of indoor space were assessed. Participating spaces were provided with a free rapid air safety test, data to understand and communicate their infection-resilient space, and the insights to improve safety, if needed.

By offering free testing to more than a hundred locations, Poppy Health is helping employees, customers, residents and visitors to Toronto feel more confident spending time indoors.

We’re delighted to be a sponsor of this important initiative and urge all Toronto businesses to schedule a testing today. Learn more here: https://www.breathe.city/
