When we first invested in SRTX back in its infancy, it wasn’t just about their ambition to make unbreakable tights—it was about their bold reimagining of an entire industry. Today, we are so excited for Katherine Homuth and her team for securing $25M from the Quebec government’s investment arm, Investissement Quebec, bringing their total funding to $200M.

From the outset, we saw SRTX’s potential to revolutionize textiles. They weren’t just innovating in product design; they were challenging outdated paradigms in manufacturing and sustainability. Using ultrahigh-molecular-weight polyethylene—the same material used in bulletproof vests—they’ve created a durable, recyclable alternative to nylon tights and developed Watertex, a waterproof fabric poised to compete with Gore-Tex while championing environmental responsibility.

Over the years, we’ve watched Katherine transform SRTX into a global manufacturing powerhouse with incredible partnerships with retailers such as H&M, Walmart, and, most recently, SKIMs.

What’s most exciting is how Katherine and her team have used every dollar of investment to build a company that redefines the economics of textile production. They have reduced manufacturing costs from $75 per pair of tights to $10, with a goal of $6, which isn’t just impressive—it’s transformative. This operational efficiency, powered by automation and vertically integrated processes, highlights their ability to scale globally.

As early backers, we couldn’t be prouder of what SRTX has achieved. This journey is far from over, but this milestone is a powerful validation of the vision we believed in from the start. Katherine Homuth isn’t just leading a company—she’s leading an industry into the future.
